Registration
2027 membership of the Scottish Economic Society is a requirement for presenting at the conference.
Members will receive renewal notices to renew their membership for 2027.

Non-members can register at the non-member rate and the fee will include membership for 2027.
Registration fees include attendance at the 2 day conference (all sessions Monday afternoon until Wednesday morning) including refreshments and light lunch; the welcome drink; and attendance at the Sir Alec Cairncross Memorial dinner. They do not include accommodation.
Please note: Payment must be made by credit card at the point of booking.

Useful information
- All presentations will be in person. Please make sure you are able to attend the conference before submitting an abstract. There will be no facility for virtual or recorded presentation.
- No financial support will be provided. If you are unable to fund your attendance personally or through your institution, please do not submit an abstract/paper.
- Submissions must be in English and conference presentations are required to be delivered in English. No interpretation services will be available.
- Visa applications: Please ensure you allow sufficient time to apply for your visa. Delays in visa processing can prevent speakers from attending the meeting, which can create difficulties for the organisers.
- Deadline for submission is 3 November 2026.
